How can I get started with treatment at Resilient Steps CBT and what would treatment look like?
We first start with a brief consultation call for me to gather general information and assess fit. If services at Resilient Steps CBT seem to be a good fit for what you are looking for and you are interested in proceeding, we go ahead and schedule the first session, which will consist of a diagnostic assessment. In the diagnostic assessment, I'll gather a thorough history and evaluate current symptoms, goals, and personal/family strengths. In a subsequent session, I'll provide feedback based on this assessment and then work with you to develop a treatment plan. Then, we'll start working on your treatment goals using evidence-based interventions drawn from cognitive-behavioral approaches. I'll check in with you and/or your family regularly to assess progress and see if any modifications might be needed. I will work closely with you and/or your family to help you reach your goals for treatment. Once we get to a point where significant progress has been made, we shift into a treatment consolidation phase where we'll review skills learned and create a maintenance plan to help you maintain and extend your progress.
